Those who tell the story of war always choose what to show, what to leave out, and what distance to keep from the facts and from those who suffer them. Paolo Giordano and Cecilia Sala compare their experiences of the fine line between testimony and narrative. From Ukraine to Gaza, from Afghanistan to the forgotten fronts of subSaharan Africa, stories of war challenge the language, conscience and body of those who tell them.
